We are excited to announce the first Immunize Oregon Policy & Advocacy Summit, a hybrid event in Salem on September 14 from 9am – 4pm with a happy hour reception to follow. The event will bring together experts, stakeholders, community organizations, and community members to hear from policy makers, providers, and public health experts about the state of immunizations in Oregon and begin a collaborative discussion about building a policy agenda for the 2025 Oregon Legislature.
We define vaccine equity as ensuring all people have access to both vaccines and education around immunizations and community immunity, regardless of their race, gender, socioeconomic status, citizenship, or place of geographic residence. Achieving equity will require intentional efforts to dismantle barriers to access and reach underserved populations.
